Aberdeenshire child, 4, hit by car

A FOUR-year-old child has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Aberdeenshire.

The B999 in Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire, was closed to traffic following the incident which happened at around 11.25am today.

The four-year-old pedestrian was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital by ambulance.

Police Scotland said that local diversions have been put in place while they carry out collision investigations.

The car involved was a black Vauxhall Antara.

The extent of the child’s injuries are not known.
