Abbie's a real bright spark

A PUPIL from Lasswade Primary has carried out the 20 millionth login to Scotland's education intranet, known as Glow.

Abbie Watt, a pupil in P4, won a top-of-the-range tablet PC by logging on to the system to do some schoolwork. Pupils at the school have been using Glow since 2009 to work with schools all over Scotland.

Parents can also log on to check homework, find out the latest news, and see what their child has been working on.

Programme director for Glow, John McCarney, said: "It's fantastic to reach the milestone and we felt it was an important occasion to celebrate."
