A musical memorial

A MUSICAL in memory of a beloved teacher who died from cancer is being performed by pupils at Craigmount High School, with proceeds donated to Cancer Research UK.

Beth McDonald, who was deputy headteacher of Craigmount High for 17 years, lost her short battle with cancer on July 24 last year.

The show, entitled Hit the Stage, will run at the Church Hill Theatre, Morningside, from Monday until next Saturday,

Members of the school community had previously organised a series of events to remember the “vivacious” woman, including taking part in the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, and raising money for Cancer Research UK.
