* Police say they are hunting two men in their twenties in connection with the sexual assault of a teenager in the city.

The 19-year-old victim was walking home along a path at the Meadows when she was attacked by two men wearing hooded tops at around 3.30am on Tuesday.

A latex glove found near the scene, which police believe may have belonged to the attackers, is now undergoing forensic tests.

Police have put in place extra patrols in the Meadows area overnight following the attack.

* EFFLUENT from a BP oil terminal has finally stopped leaking into the Firth of Forth, according to environmental watchdogs.

Work is ongoing to repair the leak from a pipeline linking the Hound Point terminal, off Queensferry, and a tank farm.

But the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) said the leak had now slowed up to the extent that “no further water is entering the Forth”.
