8400 premises to benefit from superfast broadband

Livingston MP Graeme Morrice has welcomed the news that more than 8400 homes and businesses in Livingston are set to benefit from superfast broadband as BT rolls out its new superfast network in Scotland.

The announcement means that around 28,000 homes and businesses in West Lothian will be served by the superfast fibre network. Superfast broadband is already available to around 10,500 homes and businesses in the Livingston Station exchange area and Bathgate and Mid Calder are also in the upgrade programme, passing around 6300 and 3500 premises respectively.

Mr Morrice MP said: “It is important that businesses and residents in West Lothian benefit from the advantages of the superfast service. It should help to create jobs, enhance quality of life and improve access to information.”
