Angus Council confirmed a suspected norovirus infection at Langlands Primary School yesterday, with parents and carers advised to keep unwell children at home until they are clear of the virus for 48 hours.

An advice letter was also sent to parents and carers.

A total of 329 pupils, almost three quarters of the school roll from P1 to P7, were absent from the school today.

Norovirus, also known as the winter vomiting bug, is the most common stomach bug in the UK.
