A VIOLENT yob who stabbed three people with a screwdriver has been jailed for 20 months.

Michael Leggett, 23, was found guilty by a jury of bursting into a neighbour’s house with another man and attacking them with the makeshift weapon.

The victims told in evidence how they were repeatedly punched, kicked and stabbed in the vicious attack, which left one man’s life in danger.

Despite being convicted, Leggett, from Uphall, continued to deny his involvement in the assaults when he appeared for sentence at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.

He was found guilty of assaulting David Chant, Ross Whitelaw and Lewis Smith during the incident three doors away from his home in Loanfoot Road, Uphall, on September 20 last year.
