19-year-old killed in crash is named

A teenage girl has died in a car crash.

Lisa Anne Laurie, 19, was killed after she lost control of her car and came off the road.

The teenager, from Innerleithen, was fatally injured in the accident, Lothian and Borders police said.

The crash happened shortly before 9.30pm last night on the A703 Peebles to Edinburgh road, close to the junction into Kingside Farm, Peebles.

The black Renault Clio, which was travelling south, came off the road after trying to get round a left hand bend.

Police have asked any witnesses to contact them.
