1500 tributes pour in for Heather McKay

A FACEBOOK page dedicated to the memory of Heather McKay has been inundated with more than 1500 tributes.

The mother-of-two had been missing for 12 days before her body was found by search teams in Dechmont Woods on Tuesday – 500 yards from where she had been staying with a friend.

Messages of support have flooded the social networking site over the last few days, with suggestions mooted to light Chinese lanterns in her memory.

Diane Haggart wrote: “Rest in peace Heather, you are a lovely lady and I’m so sad to hear that you have gone.

“My thoughts are with your family at this sad time.” 
In another message, Ilona Turner posted: “My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family.

“It’s tragic and the whole of West Lothian will be grieving for her.”

Ms McKay had been reported missing on August 24. It is understood that she took her own life.
