‘122mph’ biker to face trial

A MAN is to stand trial accused of riding his motorbike at more than three times the speed limit – allegedly hitting 122mph on a 40mph
limit city road.

Robert Lockhart faces charges of dangerous driving and speeding at Dundee Sheriff Court.

It is alleged that on 26 May this year he rode his Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle at 122mph on the A92 between Panmurefield Village Roundabout and East Balgillo Roundabout on the outskirts of Dundee.

Fiscal depute Donna Davidson told the court that a letter had been received from his solicitors pleading not guilty to the charges.
