The weather is definitely getting colder, the nights are drawing and in snow has even been spotted in some parts of the country.

For those reasons, many Scots are betting that this year will be a white Christmas.

The last White Christmas was back in 2010, but, if you put much stock in the bookies instincts, Scotland has a good chance of seeing snowfall on Christmas Day.

When it comes to UK cities, Aberdeen is the hot favourite for snow at 7/4 with Edinburgh and Glasgow close behind with odds of 2/1.
