Police have formally identified a body found in woodland as the remains of missing teenager Scott Diver.
Officers were called to a report of the body of a young man found within a wooded area near to Old Kilpatrick on Thursday 3 November.
The body has now been formally identified as that of Scott Diver.
The 16-year-old had been missing from his Clydebank home since Saturday 17 September with several appeals launched to trace the teen.
He was later seen on CCTV footage walking through nearby Dalmuir Park at around 2.53pm the day he went missing.
His family have been informed.
Police are not treating the youngster’s death as suspicious.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
