A man appeared in court today charged with murdering a high-end escort in an Aberdeen serviced apartment.

Jessica McGraa, 36, was believed to have rented out the Union Terrace flat in Aberdeen on a short term basis to sell sex.

A 25 year-old man, Bala Chinda, appeared in private on petition at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and was committed for further examination.

He is also alleged to have committed theft.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again later this month.

The Nigerian, who has lived in the country for several years, advertised her services online under the name Ebony Bianca and B Bianca.

Friends thought she was working as a dancer in clubs and were shocked to hear that she had died.

One said: “I had no idea what was really going on.

“Jessica was an amazing woman and if that’s how she chose to make a living then that was her choice.”
