TWO men are facing court accused of threatening to bomb a convenience store after making reference to the IRA while hurling abuse inside the shop.
Paul Burke and Mark Skelligan face a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at a Spar store in Dundee’s Ballindean Road on February 7.
The pair are said to have shouted, chanted, made reference to the IRA and threatened to bomb the premises before attempting to climb over the shop counter.
Burke, 30, of Allan Lane, Dundee, and Skelligan, 30, of Byron Crescent, Dundee, did not enter a plea to a charge under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act on summary complaint.
The case was continued without plea until later this month.
