Man in hospital with serious injuries after Glasgow 'stabbing'

A man has been hospitalised following a suspected knife attack in Glasgow.

The man suffered serious injuries as the result of an incident in the city’s Broomhill area.

A source said the victim was stabbed at a block of flats in nearby Randolph Road before apparently being struck by a vehicle in Crow Road.

It is understood that medically trained staff at an adjacent nursing home treated the man at the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 6.30am on Sunday, July 25, 2021, police were called after a man was found seriously injured on Crow Road, near to Clarence Drive, Broomhill, Glasgow.

“He was been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

“Inquiries into the incident are continuing. There are a number of road closures in the area, however, these should be lifted shortly.”
