The Betfred League Cup runners-up host Steven Gerrard’s side after their previously arranged weekend fixture was moved to allow David Martindale’s side their shot at glory – but it ended in disappointment as St Johnstone took home the silverware.

It doesn’t get any easier for the West Lothian side as Rangers visit the Tony macaroni Arena three, or potentially TWO games from the title.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the game.

Form

Livingston: LDLLWDWWDD (5th)

Rangers: WWWWDWWD (1st)

After a resounding 14-game unbeaten run with David Martindale, the Lions have hit a sticky patch of form. They’ve only won one of their last six games – including their Hampden defeat on Sunday.

Livingston are, however the only side to shut-out Rangers this season though, and Steven Gerrard’s rampant side know two wins in their next two games – plus a Celtic defeat on Sunday, could hand them the silverware.

Team news

Kemar Roofe’s suspension is over but the striker remains out with the injury sustained against Royal Antwerp in Belgium – likewise James Tavernier is also out after his injury in the same match.

Ryan Jack limped off against Dundee United last week and will join the duo on the sidelines for around three weeks. Leon Balogun was also injured in the win over Antwerp at Ibrox on Thursday, however Nathan Patterson, Bongani Zungu and Calvin Bassey can be considered as the trio’s isolation period ended last week and they have, so far, faced no further disciplinary procedures from the Scottish Football Association following their COVID protocol breach admission.

Previous Meetings

Livingston held Rangers to a 0-0 draw in West Lothian earlier this season, but went down 2-0 at Ibrox under Gary Holt – a match which saw Jermain Defoe hit his 300th career goal with a lovely finish.
