Party ready

Great for Hogmanay prep, these paper masks are highly saturated with hyaluronic acid and a special “bio-ferment”. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then massage in the residue. Our skin was left looking refreshed. Single use, they say, but we think you could easily get away with using one of these twice.

Those who prefer old-fashion matte lippie to gloss will love this new lipstick from MAC, which has a suede finish but doesn’t leave lips feeling parched. If scarlet is your hue of choice, go for the firetruck red of Fashion Legacy or, this cranberry hued Dance With Me.

Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour, £21, MAC, www.maccosmetics.co.uk
