Worth Getting Out of Bed For

Ben Nevis is on your doorstep, so what are you waiting for? The site is also ideal for mountain biking, skiing, snow sports, pony trekking, sailing, gorge walking, fishing, kayaking and extensive walking routes. The Nevis Range is close by with an extensive network of graded runs for ski enthusiasts, and other snow sport options, such as sledging and snow biking, and there’s the Mountain Gondola, for those looking to take in the stunning views or walk around the heights.

The Park is also ideal for exploring further afield with easy access to stunning beaches at Mallaig and Arisaig – and for Harry Potter fans, the Glenfinnan Viaduct (the chosen route of the Hogwarts Express) is just 15 miles away, for some magical trainspotting.

The Ben Nevis Distillery provides the perfect spot to enjoy a dram of local whisky, or just stay put and unwind in the gloaming, soaking in a hot tub under the stars. If you’re looking to cosy up beside a roaring fire in the local pub (remember that?), Fort William is 10 minutes away with a selection of likely locations.
