Internationally renowned fashion designer Stella McCartney’s new autumn collection for children is inspired by the Beano and Dandy comics.

There are 40 bespoke garments, 30 starring Dandy characters and 10 with Minnie the Minx designs.
Korky the Cat, Cuddles and Dimples and Dinah Mo all feature in the collection.
Both comics have a special place in the designer’s heart since her rock legend father Sir Paul McCartney was honoured with a cameo feature in the Dandy’s last-ever edition in 2012 after saying in 1963 that it was one of his life’s ambitions to appear in it.
In 2017 she launched a selection of adult clothing bearing some of the same characters.
“The Beano was a huge part of my childhood and the rebellious and fun nature celebrated in the comic led the design process of the new collection,” she said.

Emma Scott, chief executive at Beano Studios, said: “In this new range Stella brings famous Beano and Dandy heroes to life in a new and dynamic way, which connect with Beano children of today.”
