Save the Date invitations have already been issued for the invitation-only event to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the Harvey Nichols fashion store in 2002.

But what will actually take place on 24 October is still a closely guarded
secret – except that it will involve celebrities and world-famous fashion designers, and that the look of the flagship store will be
temporarily transformed.

The store, where JK Rowling can often be spotted at the perfume counters and where Beyoncé spent £70,000 on an after-hours shopping spree, actually opened in August 2002.

But it was decided to postpone the celebrations until October so as not to coincide with the Edinburgh Festival and with September when fashion weeks take place around the world.

Five-hundred invited guests, including well-known designers, regular customers and celebrities will be invited to a special seven-till-midnight party at the store – which will be transformed into a food and fashion paradise.

Harvey Nichols say the event will “highlight Scottish talent” and include “appearances from internationally celebrated fashion designers and renowned
celebrities”.

The event is being curated by Roselle of Aberdeen. Managing director Charlotte McIntosh said: “An occasion as prestigious and glamorous as this deserves a premium production that will wow its attendees – to include the Scottish fashion crowd, the store’s most
loyal customers and special celebrity guests.”
