Glasgow Green loop via Richmond Park
This route takes in two of Glasgow's green parks, offering views of the River Clyde throughout.
Start at the northeast corner of Glasgow Green and follow the path by the River Clyde, before crossing the river via the King's Bridge. Now continue along the Clyde before performing a circuit of the Richmond Park, passing its vast pond often buzzing with model boats and swans. Return across the Clyde and run the length of Glasgow Green's east side before returning to your start point.

Kelvingrove Park lap

Begin by Kelvinbridge park and head along the Kelvin Walkway. Once you reach the park turn left and follow the path around the north and then east side of the green space. Briefly leave the park and run along Claremont Terrace before returning via Clairmont Gardens. Now jog along the park's southern boundary, and past the front of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and cross the peaceful River Kelvin. Once you've traversed the waterway, take the third right and then recross the Kelvin. Make a beeline for the Stewart Memorial Fountain before heading north and returning to your start point.

Clyde and Festival Park out and back
This out and back route provides runners a glance of Glasgow's industrial past, as well as its culture-rich present.
Starting at the Transport Museum follow the Clyde east past the SSE Hydro and Finneston Crane before crossing the Clyde via the Clyde Arc. Briefly follow Goven Road before skirting around the periphery of Festival Park and returning to the snaking river. Admire the Glasgow Tower before crossing the Millenium Bridge and retracing your steps to the Transport Museum.

Pollok Park circuit
Pollok Park has a feeling of remoteness rarely found in the rest of Glasgow - perfect for runners.
Starting at Pollokshaws West station, enter the park at Pollok Avenue. When you reach a fork in the path head left along White Cart Water, past Pollok Country Park and Pollok House and Garden before turning left and following the curve in the path north. After about one kilometre turn right and jog past one of the park's ponds, before nipping past the Craigholme Sport Complex. Finish by returning to Pollok Avenue and back to your start point at Pollokshaws West station.

Cathedral to Alexandra Park out and back
This trail takes in the intriguing and history-rich sights of Glasgow Cathedral and the Necropolis.
Start by the Cathedral and head north along Wishart Street, turning right once you reach Alexandra Parade. Follow the thoroughfare until Alexandra Park is reached. Perform a clockwise circuit of the open space, taking in the elaborate Saracen Fountain before returning along Alexandra Parade and Wishart Place to your start point.
Consider warming down by circulating the peaceful grounds of Glasgow's 'City of the Dead'.
