Yes, now the pet in your life can get its paws on the property ladder and be the envy of the neighbourhood at the same time.

The bespoke detached kennels boast a spacious interior with a hinged copper roof, allowing easy access for the cleaner – yes, that’s you – and a steel frame for durability.

The design was created by modular housing firm Built & Spaces in response to growing demand from animal-lovers who want to give their pet a home as nice as their own.

And if you have more than one furry friend, perhaps you could create their own little doggie terrace.

Each mini mansion comes with a price tag of £1,200.

“We’re more used to creating luxury homes for humans, but it was great fun creating this dog kennel for man’s best friend,” said Steve Wilkie, director of Built & Spaces.

“The kennel has all the mod cons a pampered pooch could expect, with an automatic door, heated floor and double glazing.

“A lot of our customers have spent lockdown doing up their house, and now they want to treat their pets.

“Being in the doghouse has never been so comfortable.”

Built & Spaces saw interest in extensions, garden rooms, home offices and annexes surged by 20 per cent during lockdown as people working from home decided they needed more living space.
