Designed by the urban architect, Karen Caddell, Dunnottar Park features a bespoke collection of three, four and five-bedroomed homes which mirror the historic vernacular of Stonehaven.

The development will encompass protected areas which have been designed by facing the homes outward and utilising green hedges and turf walls on the plateau.

The courtyard layout echoes the 19th-century walled boundaries which can be found throughout the town.

Many of the streets in the development open on to stunning river valleys and the picturesque woodlands.

With their long and narrow shape, simple form and 45-degree pitched roofs, the homes at Dunnottar are also designed to reflect the style of old farm buildings in the area and to blend into the surrounding coastal landscape.

The development is situated on the edge of an existing housing development, meaning that new residents will be welcomed by a community and all of the associated amenities.

Stonehaven-based interior design studio, Jane’s Interiors, has taken inspiration from the flora and fauna of Dunnottar Woods and the natural beauty of the woodland, foliage and wildflowers on the doorstep for the inside of the showhome.

These details are reflected in the colour palette, patterns and artwork.

Other influences include the abundance of Scottish heritage on the doorstep. Dunnottar Park is close to the medieval ruins of Dunnottar Castle.

In the Fetteresso house type, the entrance hall leads to a spacious living room, an open-plan family kitchen and dining area with high-specification integrated appliances and through to a utility room, WC and double integral garage.

A study area on the landing provides the perfect place for a technology zone or a quiet place for reading. It could also be used as a workspace.

John Low, managing director at Stewart Milne Homes, says: “The exquisite new Fetteresso showhome gives buyers a true taste of what
life would be like at Dunnottar Park with a superb level of finish inside to match the high quality external environment.

“The homes offer inspiring views in a picturesque location within close proximity to Aberdeen.”

Dunnottar Park is situated 15 miles south of Aberdeen and has excellent commuting links.
