Scottish rents fall sharply '“ though not in cities
Average residential rents dropped 0.7 per cent per cent in the month to March, according to lettings agent network Your Move.
In absolute terms, this £4 drop takes the typical rent in Scotland down to £544 per month, the lowest level in almost a year.

Hide AdHowever, tenants in cities such as Edinburgh have seen no fall in rental costs due to a higher level of demand than supply.
Brian Moran, lettings director at Your Move-Scotland, said: “Tenants in big cities like Edinburgh haven’t enjoyed the same reprieve at all.
“Investment from landlords needs to follow the tune of the jobs market and economic activity.”
