The housebuilder won the prize for its “Henry” style home as featured at Kinleith Mill in Currie, Edinburgh, with judges noting its brilliant use of flexible spaces and space saving ideas - such as its bespoke staircase overlooking a light-filled, double height family area.

The popular house type has played a key part in the runaway success of Kinleith Mill and there is now only one Henry house style available to buy at the development.

This latest award continues the tradition of success for CALA Homes with Kinleith Mill named the proud winner of the Best Private Development, Medium award at the prestigious Homes for Scotland Awards, earlier in the year.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), said: “I am delighted that CALA’s efforts have been recognised in this way. Everyone in the company should be proud of what we have achieved.

“We are very proud of our Henry homes; they provide the perfect family environment, so to have them recognised at such an important award ceremony is pleasing.

“Everything we do at CALA Homes is driven by our attention to building the highest-quality homes in sought-after locations and The Henry at Kinleith Mill is a perfect example of this.”

Kinleith Mill is an idyllic, tree-lined development by the Water of Leith, featuring a wide selection of distinctive three, four and five bedroom homes.

The last remaining Henry, available for a fixed-price of £665,000, is ready to move into with a selection of incentives including part exchange or a contribution of £15,000 towards LBTT, in addition to flooring and turf.
