This flagship development represents a significant investment and includes contributions of almost £5m towards education and transport.

Pauline Mills, Land and Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said: “We are so pleased to have acquired the land off Maybury Road and to now be gearing up our operation to start construction of our first development on the western side of the city for some time.

“West Craigs will not only provide buyers with a wide selection of homes, it will also offer great commutable routes to Edinburgh and the wider area.”

She added: “There are several months of pre-construction works to complete before we can finalise our timescales of when we expect to start building our new homes, however we expect that will be later this year and we will continue to update the local community with our plans.

“Our development will provide a range of economic benefits for the local area which includes supporting over 160 jobs per year of construction, as well as the attraction of new customers to local businesses.”
