CALA proves popular in Ratho

While the development will sit in its own generous 25 acres, the secluded feel will be heightened when the park is completed over the next four years.

In total, 111 new family homes from CALA Homes (East) are planned at the site which the developer says is contributing to Ratho becoming one of the most sought-after villages in Scotland.

Sitting at the top of the village, Craigpark is next to the former stone quarry which will be transformed into a wildlife haven and country park by 2020.

Craigpark follows the success of neighbouring Ratho development, The Glebe, which sold out in ten months.

CALA Homes also earned plaudits for its nearby Mooring development, which created a new canal basin with berths for 14 barges, which was handed over to Scottish Canals.

Thomson says: “Both of those developments were extremely popular and have helped redefine and reinvigorate Ratho.

“Craigpark could very well eclipse even that popularity as more than half of properties in the first release were snapped up within three months of launching.”
