Help us find the best bar in the Lothians

With your help, the competition will, once and for all, settle the great debate about the best watering hole in Edinburgh and the  Lothians.

The Edinburgh Evening News needs you to tell us if your local, your home from home, your place for relaxation is the best around and why it should be crowned champion?

And it couldn’t be simpler to get your nominations in. All you need to do is fill in the entry form below, nominating your favourite pub, club or bar and giving your reason why.

Whether you are the bar manager, a member of staff, the landlord or just a loyal regular this is a great opportunity to get your local’s name in lights!

All pubs, bars and clubs are free to enter locally.

Once we call time on the nominations, we’ll showcase the top entrants in the Edinburgh Evening News where a voting process will take place to decide who will win this most prestigious title.

NOMINATE BY TEXT

Text your nomination before 10am on November 10, 2014, to 65550.

Simply start your text with the word EENBAR followed by a space, then the name of your favourite favourite pub/bar followed by a space then their postcode. Follow this with a space then your name followed by another space then your own postcode.

Text messages cost £1 plus your standard network charge and should contain no more than 160 characters in total.

Please note: you will receive a reply message to confirm receipt of your nomination.

Your text message must follow the exact format stated, otherwise your nomination may not be counted but you may still be  charged.

If you text after the stated closing date your nomination will not be counted but you may still be  charged.

NOMINATE BY E-MAIL

E-mail the name and address of your favourite pub/bar to [email protected] by 5pm on November 10, 2014.

Please include your own name, address and phone number.

You must write Edinburgh Evening News Best Bar Nomination 2014 in your e-mail’s subject line.

NOMINATE BY POST

Simply complete the coupon and post it to: Edinburgh Evening News Pub of the Year Campaign, Orchard Brae House, 30 Queensferry Road, Edinburgh, EH4 2HS

All nomination coupons must be received by (or before) first post on Monday, November 10,  2014.

You must use an official nomination coupon (from the paper). Photocopied or defaced coupons will not be accepted. The nomination form will appear daily in the Evening News until November 8.

EVERY POSTAL ENTRY IS WORTH TWO NOMINATIONS.

Is it the beer? Do they do great food? Is it a place ‘where everyone knows your name?’ We want your nominations, but we also want to know WHY!
