Five Things To Do In Edinburgh: Saturday 10 November

• MUSIC: The Idiot B*stard Band. Celebrity comedy chums Phill Jupitus, Ade Edmondson, Rowland Rivron and Neil Innes take up their instruments, and after a raucous eight-week residency at a London pub, tour the country. The music-comedy hybrid that is comedians Jupitus and Rivron, former Young Ones star Edmondson and ex-Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band legend Innes visit the HMV Picture House. Jupitus, the hilariously sarcastic one on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, explains that The Idiot B*stard Band formed after he and Edmondson appeared as special guests at a one-off concert.

“Ade said that he wanted to do more stuff musically and I was really enjoying it as well.

“We all have a love of funny songs and finally we formed a band to play the ones we like best,” he adds.

The band’s material is pretty much a 60-40 split of original stuff and songs they all knew and liked.
