Hailing from Forres in the Highlands, Duncan Falconer – aka Acutek – started out as a DJ at the age of 15, winning numerous competitions for his skills on the decks before going on to record his own tracks. A decade on and with several releases under his belt, his latest EP, entitled Darkside, came out at the end of last month and spent a week at the top of the Hardcore/Hard Techno chart on the world’s leading dance music platform, Beatport, thereby further cementing his reputation as a producer to look out for.
Acutek next appears on Saturday at the Flick night he co-hosts in Forres and his next track is due out in the summer, shortly before he appears at the Inverness Ironworks as part of the Exklusive extravaganza on 28 July. We recommend checking out his releases on Spotify and keeping an eye out for news of future festival appearances via www.facebook.com/pg/Acutek12.
