Filmmaker Sam Mendes could make another Bond movie despite saying he would not sign up to make the next film after his success with Skyfall.

The Oscar-winner turned down the chance to make the next installment in 007’s adventures to concentrate on his theatre work.

Earlier this year, Mendes said he wanted his “complete focus” to be on his stage work, including productions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and King Lear in London.

A plan to delay work on the next Bond film so Mendes can finish his theatre productions first is now being discussed, sources said.
