THE LATE author Iain Banks is to have his final book published next year, it has been announced.
Banks’ publishers Little, Brown said a collection of poetry would be released in February 2015.
The anthology of poems will feature work from science fiction writer Ken MacLeod, a childhood friend of Banks. MacLeod is also editing the book.
Banks died aged 59 in June last year after falling ill with bladder cancer.
The North Queensferry author, in his final interview, said the poems were “a desperate urge to get things that were supposed to be long-term projects out the way.”
