ONE of the highlights of this year’s Edinburgh International Festival was NVA’s Speed of Light, a site-specific performance on Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh which relied on people clad in light suits running in formation.

Now the work has reached Yokohama, Japan for its international touring debut.

In partnership with the British Council, Speed of Light Yokohama was presented as part of Smart Illumination Yokohama, taking place from 31 October to 4 November 2012.

The annual festival, themed on sustainability and energy-saving technology, commissioned Speed of Light to create a moving nightscape in Yokohama’s urban environment over two nights of the festival.
