Bikers will be tickled pink on charity ride

A convoy of bikers will be in the pink on 22 May, as they set off on a meandering journey from Kilmarnock to Loch Lomond in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Breast Way Round Scotland’s three-day adventure will take in Largs, Dunoon, Fort William and Aviemore as they seek to add to the £275,000 raised since they began fundraising efforts seven years ago.

Dressed in pink, the mostly female group will reach their final destination on Sunday 24 May. The few male participants will join in the fun by donning decorated bras on top of their gear.

BWRS chairperson Chrissie Evans said: “Many of those who take part in the ride do so in memory of loved ones who have lost a battle to cancer. Knowing that the money raised goes directly to Macmillan is extremely rewarding.”

As well as the bike ride, BWRS organises various other events, including music festivals and parties, throughout the year.
