Moleskine Timepage

There are a lot of smartphone calendar apps around, but this one from Moleskine is both aesthetically pleasing and user friendly. The monthly and weekly views are available in lots of different shapes and sizes, depending on what suits you. There is even a ‘heat map’ which colours different parts of your schedule so you can see at a glance when you are particularly busy or free. It combines weather forecasts and map information effortlessly, and works alongside transport apps, including Uber. In theory, you can be reminded about an event and order a taxi, with estimated travel times (and a weather report) all in the same app.

Share the Meal

Around this time of year, it’s almost impossible not to spare a thought for those who are less fortunate. Using this United Nations app, you can make a difference to a child’s life without signing up to any sort of contract. Once installed on your phone, you can simply tap ‘Share the Meal’ and decide for how many days you would like to contribute. It ranges from 35p for one day, £2.45 for one week, right up to £127.75 for one year. You can ‘share the meal’ as little or as often as you like.
