Album review: Spectorbullets, Spectorbullets

A tumultuous collaboration between erstwhile Fire Engine and Win member Russell Burn, and singer-songwriter Gustaf Heden, this debut album has to be heard.

A collision of pop and avant garde rock ideas connected by psychedelic skiffle, Spectorbullets might be the missing link between Syd Barrett and The Libertines.

Scottish indie genius is represented by Malcolm Ross, and the album also features the last vocal performance from the late Paul Reekie. Weird and wonderful.
