Kilmarnock attacks: Charity single released to raise funds for family of murdered mother and daughter

A charity single to raise funds for the family of a mother and daughter killed in attacks in Kilmarnock has been released.

NHS worker Emma Robertson Coupland, 39, was found injured in the car park of University Hospital Crosshouse, near Kilmarnock at around 7.45pm on February 4 but died at the scene.

Daughter Nicole Anderson, 24, was stabbed in a second incident 20 minutes later on Portland Street. She was taken to hospital but later died.

Now a charity version of Over the Rainbow has been released - with campaigners hoping to raise cash for the family.

The song has been performed by singer Roger Paterson and was organised by Saltcoats charity, Come Back To God Campaign.

A statement said: Charity co-ordinator Emily Paterson booked Roger Paterson to sing live at the memorial.

“The family are grateful and keeping in touch with Emily, who believes the nation needs hope at this hard time.

“The single is a thank you to the victims and all keyworkers.”
