Updating your home can be a costly business, so if you are looking to make some small changes, then here are some great money saving (or spending) ideas for home accessories.

Drinks trolley

The drinks trolley has seen quite a comeback in recent years, with everyone from Oliver Bonas, West Elm and John Lewis offering a design on how to display your drinks collection.

While a vintage find may be the best way to bag a bargain, the high street is ideal for those who don't have the time to trawl flea markets and second hand shops.

Add some instant ambiance to any room with a scented candle. Prices range wildly, but a good quality soy candle - which gives a cleaner burn - with a lasting scent is what to aim for.

If you'd rather not spend on a big name brand then check out JoJo Co, a Scottish company that specialises in handmade scented candles and reed diffusers.
