5. Inveraray Castle, Inverary - Downton Abbey
Inveraray Castle was the filming location for the Downton Abbey Christmas episode in 2012. This two-hour special saw the Grantham family and staff travel to the home of their cousins in their Scottish home, Duneagle Castle.
6. Glen Etive, Glencoe Village, Scottish Highlands - Skyfall
Skyfall sees James Bond return to his Scottish roots, with the main part of the film taking place at Bond's family home, Skyfall Lodge. This is located in the beautiful Glen Etive, in Glencoe Village.
7. Blair Castle, Perthshire - Victoria
The ITV series Victoria focuses on the early years of the monarch's reign, during which she visited Highland Perthshire a number of times. Filming took place at Blair Castle to tell the story of one of those visits.
8. Rosslyn Chapel, The Da Vinci Code
Rosslyn Chapel was founded in 1446 as a place of worship, and was featured in The Da Vinci Codes dramatic final scenes.
