‘World-class facilities’ for Scots hospital

A LABORATORY revolution will see Scotland home to the most up-to-date facilities in the world, according to the country’s largest health board.

A £90 million state-of-the-art lab at Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital is now complete, which has amalgamated five other sites from the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.

The modernisation project continues at Glasgow Royal
Infirmary with the refurbishment of the University Tower, which began earlier this year. Further work will update analysing equipment. The refurbishment is due for completion by mid-2013.
