Vaccination uptake for children 'high'

THE uptake of vaccinations which protect children against serious conditions remains high, statistics have revealed.

Figures showed that the rate of vaccinations in children aged two and below for diphtheria, tetanus and polio between was "high and stable" at between 96 and 98 per cent.

A 95 per cent target for children to receive the single MMR jab by the age of five is being exceeded.
