'Suicide town' gets mental health unit

A NEW mental health unit for teenagers is to open in a town notorious for suicides.

Some two dozen youngsters killed themselves in the Bridgend area of Wales in 2007 and 2008. The new unit will provide specialist support for young people in the area, where the suicides baffled health workers.
