Stall to offer vaccine help

A VACCINE awareness workshop is to be held at Ocean Terminal on January 7.

The event will be held to highlight the importance of vaccinations for flu and pneumococcal disease, which can lead to potentially fatal conditions such as pneumonia.

A nurse from the British Lung Foundation will be on the stand from 10am to 5pm to answer questions about infections and provide information on how to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Flu vaccinations are recommended for those who are 65 years old or over, are pregnant, have a serious medical condition, live in a residential care home, are carers or front line health or social care workers.
