Patients with pain wait weeks for care

ALMOST 3,000 people suffering from chronic pain are having to wait weeks for a doctor’s appointment, a survey of Scottish health boards has revealed.

Some 1,866 patients were awaiting first appointments and in at least one case a patient had to wait 33 weeks to see a doctor.
