Health staff are dressed to impress

NHS Lothian staff have received the first batch of new uniforms.

New recruits Claire Watt, a clinical support worker, and nurse Sally Dedecker are pictured sporting the new outfits.

Health chiefs said the uniforms would help the public identify NHS workers more easily and are more comfortable for staff.

Director of nursing Melanie Hornett said:

"We needed greater simplicity and consistency to put patients more at ease and help build trust between them and staff.

"For staff, the new uniform had to be more practical."
