This is the awkward moment UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock was ambushed by an ITV reporter in the street and asked why he won’t face Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.

Earlier today reporter Nick Dixon managed to stop Mr Hancock in the street to ask about the new vaccine for coronavirus which is currently being tested.

But after Mr Hancock stumbled his way through his answer, the reporter then threw the government minister a curveball and asked when he would sit down and be interviewed by Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.

Mr Hancock’s awkward attempts at response before he walks off is there to see in the video clip. Of course Mr Dixon continued to chase him.

The flagship ITV morning show is now in day 196 of what it calls a government boycott, with no ministers giving an interview to Mr Morgan in more than six months.
