Ten more deaths in Scotland as total cases pass 8,000

A further ten deaths have been confirmed bringing the total to 903, according to government officials.

So far, a total of 39,612 people in Scotland have been tested for the coronavirus. Of these, 31,425 were confirmed negative and 8,187 were positive.

174 patients were in intensive care last night, with 170 of those having tested positive.

There were 1,797 people in Scottish hospitals with either confirmed or suspected COVID-19 (including those in intensive care).
