The Evening News has been running a ‘Doorstep Portraits’ project during the coronavirus lockdown. Our photographer has taken portraits of members of the community in Edinburgh and the Lothians over the course of the last few weeks. Those photographed approached the Evening News volunteering to take part, and all photographs were taken in a safe manner observing government guidelines on social distancing.

2. Lauren and Alfie Abraham
Lauren nominated herself and her 18-month-old son Alfie, as she has separated from her husband and her and Alfie will soon be leaving the family home when the lockdown is over. 3. Caroline and Kevin and Poppy McNeish

4. Adele Mertens, Sven Mertens and their children Iana, four, and Heather, eight
Adele Mertens has been making headbands for NHS and care home workers since the beginning of lockdown in order to make wearing protective masks more comfortable.
