59 more people have died in Scotland after testing positive for Covid-19, bringing the death toll in Scotland by this measure to 1,762, according to First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

At her daily press briefing today, Ms Sturgeon also confirmed that 12,942 people had now tested positive for the virus - an increase of 215.

She said 1,587 of those were receiving treatment in hospital – a decrease of 45.

86 people are in intensive care across Scotland – three fewer than in the figure 24 hours ago.
