Coronavirus in Scotland: 41 deaths as new daily cases exceed 500

A total of 41 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours as Scotland confirms 572 newly confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country.

Of these new cases, 120 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde and 103 are in the Lothians.

According to the latest figures, 53 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19 while 1,033 are being treated in hospital having tested positive for the virus.

So far, 110, 612 people across Scotland have tested positive for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.
